Snapshots from Pitti Filati 93: Pitti Game and Research Space

From June 28 to June 30, 2023 Feel Blue took part in Pitti Filati 93 at the beautiful Fortezza da Basso in Florence, again this year a partner in the Spazio Ricerca. 
With the “Domino” theme, creative directors Angelo Figus and Nicola Miller asked us to get involved, and we didn’t back down: we came up with designs inspired by chess, cards, backgammon, billiards, and playing fields seen from above with their shapes and colors. 

With our tel, designed by us and partly made by some of our collaborators, we have interpreted games that are different from each other: elegant, sporty, sophisticated, popular premium, accessible, well-known, surprising. Each game expresses an attitude, but all of them invite you to dare, to accept the challenge, to believe in it, to bet on yourself and your team’s skills, to shuffle the cards, to make the boldest move.
We did it this way.

Working on the theme of play allowed us to experiment with new styles and make room for novel combinations of shapes, colors, yarns, and knitting stitches.
It was a challenge, but as always, we met it.
It has been a few days now and we are already at work on the new samples, but we still feel the creative energies vibrating that this extraordinary salon manages to ignite every time. Because Pitti is the space where the threads intertwine in ways that are always new, surprising, unexpected.
