Feel Blue achieves Global Recycled Standard certification

Audit and certification process

The certification process took several months and considered every aspect of the production process: the suitability of suppliers, the conformity of raw materials and chemicals used, the composition of products, the management of manufacturing processes, the control of the production chain to prevent recycled materials from being substituted with others, as well as compliance with precise environmental and social criteria. Now, we officially have the GRS Certificate of Compliance and we will continue to undergo annual inspections to Maintain this certification.

What is GRS and why is it important

The Global Recycle Standard was conceived and promoted by Textile Exchange, one of the leading international non-profit organizations for responsible and sustainable development in the textile industry. Textiles, in fact, is one of the industries with the greatest environmental impact both in terms of resource consumption, use of harmful chemicals, and the production of large amounts of waste. Over the years, we have worked to improve on all these fronts by implementing protocols of Chemical Management for the reduction of chemical pollution, systems of Energy Management to contain energy consumption, and we have adhered to supply chains based on the Circular Economy as Re.Verso™. Now GRS certification also ensures that:

• our products contain at least 20% material from pre-consumer and post-consumer recycling;
• our operations and manufacturing processes use management models and procedures that comply with the environmental and social requirements established by Textile Exchange.
