Puppet theater with Mozart’s music comes to Macerata Opera Festival: The Legend of the Magic Flute

From August 2 to 4, four must-see performances in the Macerata area: for Opera Night, in Muccia, Civitanova and also Sarnano thanks to the support of Feel Blue Como Puppet Theater comes to Macerata on Aug. 2 on the occasion of Opera Night, with the show The Legend of the Magic Flute inspired by the opening title of the 2018 Macerata Opera Festival, Mozart’s last masterpiece.

The Legend of the Magic Flute was created to engage children, teens and adults, offering them a unique opportunity to discover the wonderful world of music and fairy tale; an unusual way to make Mozart’s music visible to the eyes and accessible to all ages. Pivot of the performance is the eternal theme of love developed within a tale that is not intended to betray either the ancient legend that inspired impresario Schikaneder in the preparation of the libretto for Mozart’s opera, or the more remote fairy tale, known in Austria in past centuries under the title Lulu and the Magic Flute.

The charm of the performance also lies in its “protagonists”: puppets made of Swiss pine wood carved, colored and dressed with long artistic and craftsmanship work, to which are added the care of Paola Rovelli for the scenes and costumes and Dario Tognocchi for the direction. After the performance in Macerata on Aug. 2, other events will follow in different locations in the Marche region: on Friday, Aug. 3, it will be in Muccia, at the Giardini Comunali at 4:30 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 4, at Cuore Adriatico in Civitanova Marche at 11 a.m. and then in Sarnano at Agriturismo le Querce at 4 p.m.

The event in Sarnano is supported sa Feel Blue Srl.
