Energy efficiency in an enterprise packaging sector

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project benefited from an ERDF grant in the amount of €29,691.80 under the POR MARCHE FESR 2014/2020 - ASSE 4 ACTION 12.1 BANDO ENERGIA IMPRESE- annuality 2017 and involves the energy efficiency of the company through the installation of a photovoltaic power generation system with an installed capacity of 49.92 kW, the replacement of 130 fluorescent lighting fixtures with the same number of LED technology fixtures, and the implementation of a monitoring and control system for the main utilities for improved performance.

OBJECTIVES: Achieve the 'energy efficiency of the company through interventions aimed at: - The reduction of electricity consumption; - The reduction of costs associated with the purchase of electricity from the grid; - The monitoring of the most significant energy consumption.

RESULTS: The following interventions have been completed: - installation of a photovoltaic system with an installed capacity of 49.92 kW, which went into operation on 7/01/2019 (registered annual self-consumption of 48.695 MWh); - installation of a monitoring system that promotes the reduction of energy waste (total average annual savings estimated at least 5%); - relamping with replacement of 130 fluorescent lighting fixtures with the same number of LED technology fixtures, (annual savings of about 18.329 MWh compared to the pre-project situation, with the same lighting service rendered)

Laboratory expansion for increased production capacity

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project benefited from a grant of €163,620.00 (call for proposals 2018 action 21.1 of POR MARCHE FESR 2014-2020) by introducing technologies and machinery related to Industry 4.0, aiming for strong process and product innovation.

OBJECTIVES: To increase production capacity, introduce new products, diversify processing, and improve process control and speed of response to customers in accordance with the company's constant pursuit of research and process innovation.

RESULTS: Introduction of own-brand products with trademark registration "KNIT WITH ATTITUDE" and expansion of the range offered. Automation of processing which also led to a 23% saving on industrial costs per kg of product.
